I HATE Apple!

Just need to sort out an iPod after a few years of using an android phone for music and iTunes and everything Apple related is a complete nightmare.

Retorical question: How the puck do you sort out an itunes library without doing it manually for each track on a 100gb+ library?

You haven't given enough information for anyone to help you or was that your idea?

You are probably best using the Apple forums anyway where the real experts can help you. Alternatively and this is better advice is book a session at an Apple Store and they will sort it out for you.

If you have been used to Android Phones, then yes Apple will be strange as it is a totally different operating system with different features.
It will take a while to get used to it, I was an Android user for years then went to Blackberry as it was more business orientated, then moved to Apple, it took a while to get used too, but booked a session in an apple store and now i would not dream of going back to Android

iTunes is a dreadful piece of software. It always has been as well. I remember using it back in the mid-2000's and it was at the time the worst piece of software I'd ever used. I last used it in about 2015 and it was still the worst piece of software I've ever used.

never use itunes after i had an issue with a rented movie, kept freezing, so could not watch it in their timeframe and by the time Apple got back to me it had been removed from their lists.
I tried to argue with them that i paid for that to watch so they have to provide it and even if they have removed it from their list they still have to provide it to me, all they did was add 2 free rental credits to my account, which i have not yet used.

I agree. It has to be one of the worst pieces of software ever. A lot of the problems seem to arise from the locked down nature of it and the difficulty of transferring tracks into and out of it.

I've heard it described as "a virus with mouse support"

I've got an iPhone but just use Google Play Music for streaming and downloading music for offline. I uploaded 15000 or so tracks of my own music and also subscribe so I can listen to anything. It seems to have my library arranged properly with only one or two mistakes regarding the metadata of tracks.

I really dislike iTunes and the necessity of connecting a phone to a computer.
I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.
