PLEASE HELP ME!! What Bitcoin App Would You Recommend Me?

Hi. I don't know where to post this, so forgive me.

I am in a minefield right now. I read reviews on apps which don't work for some people and it leads me to think its unsafe currency to transact with. However, someone wants to pay me only in bitcoin. I have somewhat of a vague understanding of how it works.

My requirements;
1) To receive money only. I may one day want to spend with bitcoin but for now is to receive.

2) Convert Bitcoin to USD or preferably GBP (British Pound).

That is all. I'd appreciate the help folks. Thanks.

Why would someone only want to pay you in bitcoin, rather than one of the many other methods of payment there are available, some of which offer appropriate levels of privacy to legitimate transactions?

I would be asking myself whether the person I'm dealing with is trying to involve you in something illegal.

I am asking myself if I'd want to advise you if you are getting yourself involved in something illegal.

Edit: I'm not suggesting you are doing anything illegal, but you need to be sure you know what you are doing. If you need to ask questions about bitcoin then it suggests you may not be.

Then you have some careful studying to do in order to remedy that, before using or receiving any bitcoin.

If you want your bank account blocked then closed then go ahead with your transaction.

Oh nothing of the sort. The person I'm dealing with is an idiot and emotional. He is uncompromising in every single way. Out the blue, he moved overseas to the states.
He says he has money he owes. Good. I just didn't want to deal with him longer than I have to.
I heard its trading high against the dollar??? Plus I've kinda always wanted to try it out. There's so many apps with bad reviews, and I don't know how to turn it into cash. Those things are whats putting me off.

Ugh. Really regretting creating the topic. He'll just change his mind anyway. I just thought I would get some help here, but I guess now I know why and that's understandable.

Banks are very hot about source of funds - could you prove where the money came from?

If not they will block and investigate then they will close your account.

...............That will be the least of your worries because you will find other banks less willing to open an account for you too.

Then cease dealing with him immediately.
You imply he has debts he wants to pay and wants to involve you by paying you in bitcoin then having you pay his debts for him. If this is the case have nothing to do with it.
