"Free for every reader"

Is it just me, or should vouchers that appear in papers that say a free widget for every reader, should say a free widget with every paper?
Our local paper is always doing it, this weeks has been a free hot drink at Greggs for every reader. I buy 1 paper that 4 of us read, so we should get 4 free drinks IMO.
ASA issue I think.

You all can have it, go in one at a time with the paper & each claim the widget. However, if you are leaving out the bit about handing in the accompanying VOUCHER from the paper...............
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

Yep, that's the point, you have to use the voucher, so it's not a freebie for every reader.

Get every member of your family a My Waitrose card and you can all get a free cup of coffee. Spend some money there and you get your newspaper free too.

    Gripe sorted.

Greggs= Disgusting yet addictive sausage roll

    Not coffee.
    It's sorcery I tell thee.
Don't be reeled in with these tricky offers.
You'll just :)come out of greggs with a sticky bun and a greasy piece of pizza.

You also need to consider the situation where the paper is left on a bus or train. You now have the possibility of hundreds of readers of that one paper who would be entitled.

One freebie per paper makes compete sense, but a lot of the offers are ,nowadays almost impossible to get.

They used to have Tesco or Pets at Home as a pick up point (usually free parking and evening visits possible) , which was fine, but now they have the likes of Boots or WH Smiths which involve a visit into a town centre on a Sunday. Not worth the cost of parking.
