Searching for property to rent while expecting salary increase-Affordability Issue

Hello everyone,
My situation is the following: I need to move out of from the property that I am currently renting on the 13th of September. In the meantime I am going into a higher position within the company that I am working and my salary will increase from 18k to 28k per year. At the moment I live on my own and pay £570 for rent and the affordable amount according to my current salary is £600 so I am within the affordable amount. I will be searching for a new property in August for around £800-£850 because I will be moving in with my girlfriend and according to the new salary (28k-which will officially start on the 18th of September), I can afford up to £930 per month. My concern is if letting agents will accept me or not in August while I am expecting the new salary change? And another problem is that my girlfriend will not work until October...so the affordability will be referenced based only on my income. I have contacted the HR department of my company and they told me that if they receive a request for references before the 18th of September they will be able to confirm the previous salary (18k) only and not the new one!!! Do you have any similar experience? Any suggestions?
Thanks

Why do you have to move out of your current property?
It would be easier to stay there until after your pay rise.0 -

As an HR Advisor myself I have written many letters on behalf of employees to confirm future changes to contracts. Ask the letting agent if they will accept a letter or a copy of your new offer / contract. When HR say they they will only confirm £18k if they receive the reference before the change they are meaning if the question is "what is the current salary?" they will have to answer it honestly, but sometimes the forms ask about any known changes too, so you'd be fine.0
