Would avoid gamestation if what i saw today was anything to go by , chap in front of me traded 5 wii games (GOOD ONES NOT FOOTBALL ETC) 2 snes mario games and a current ps3 game and he got £15.00 , the snes ones were 25p each !!
nearly butted in and said i would have given him more ,and put them on ebay but thought better keep my mouth shut .
  • someof the prices these stores offer you in cash for their games are shockingly low!! ive actually stepped in and suggested to someone before that theyd be better off selling on ebay but they said they might as well sell to them now that they had brought the games into town!!

so why dosnt somebody on here start a forum for swapping games, you could list what game you have to swap, then people could list the games they have to swap, then you could come to a deal with the person you want to swap with, and post the games to one another,

and make it a way so no money goes between people

Unfortunatley that would not be allowed due to this rule -

PERSONAL DETAILS AND THE OFFERING OF ITEMS FOR SALE/TRADE/EXCHANGE/SWAP/GIFTS

Please refrain from requesting the exchange of personal details either on the forum, via PM or email; particularly for the purposes of selling/trading/exchanging/swapping or giving as gifts. This includes posting links to your ebay auctions, or other forms of advertising.

If someone appears to be selling items on the board it may be deleted by the board guides/forum team. The aim is to protect site users as however honourable the intention, your safety is paramount.
  • i cant see how it would harm anybody, if i had a game that i did not want and you had a game that you did not want and we agreed to swap, no money exchanging hands, and then i post the game to you (recorded delivery) and you did the same

it would save me money and you money

thats what this site is all about
  • Seems like a mistake i traded it in for 360 13 months ago brand new and sealed and they offered me 12.

CEX does seeem to give the most for trade value if not cash

    Why?

I traded in stuntman ignition ps2 last week in Game for £18

New instore it was on sale for £19.99 and woolies had/have it for £17 odd

Please tell me where or how I could have got more than £18 for it

I do agree with others a trade in price thread is a waste of time as they change so quickly

Sell them on Amazon or Play.com - I've sold an old Wii game for £5 less than its new price just because I didn't like it after buying it for myself
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155
  • once you have sold on ebay and amazon and you take away the fees and paypal fees etc - you end up with very little for the older console games -

better off selling these as job lots or alternatively - HMV, CEX, Tradeyourstuff and Gamestation who give differing exchange/cash prices for games. Some wildly higher than others!

Sharpie that was an inspired piece of moneysaving with the Morrisons/Blockbuster purchase, well done!

You can swap games aswell as dvds and other items, with members, on the wonderful http://www.avforums.com/forums/classified-adverts-items-sale-trade-wanted/

Am I allowed to post that? Sorry if not!
