Third Party Payments by Solicitors

Hello
I am a First Time Buyer and I am about to send initial money to the solicitor for searches and third party payments.
I wanted to know if I can put a condition that solicitor will always email me in writing 1 working day before making any third party payment or committing to any third party payment.
Is this something that is allowed? Will it increase my legal fees as solicitor might say they have to spend more time in communications

It's unusual. Why do you want to make them, and you, do extra admin?
yes, they might want an extra fee - ask.
Have you not discussed with them
a) what work they will do, including what searches et they'll undertake for you
b) the price they'll charge for their work
c) an indication of what the agreed 3rd parties are likely to charge (over which neither you, nor they, have any control
??
If it is the timing you are concerned about, simply tell them not to start work till you instruct them to do so (eg after your mortgage is approved, or your survey complete or whatever.+0
