probate costs - unhappy

Options
hi all,

just need some words of wisdom regarding this and if its in line with normal probate costs.

there a a few discrepancies of small amount £10~ in the figures and they have "corrected" but the total to be paid has not changed to us. would this be worth following up in your opinion again as they replied they have fixed the issue but doesn't seem to have changed the end figures at all.

there are multiple "bank transfer" £39 charges which i assume were relating to the partial inheritance payments as they have taken over 12 months to deal with the estate. why are we being charged 40 quid for a bank transfer?! if this is chaps why have they defaulted to this method!?

if the solicitors are dealing with the probate have listed a charge relating to a charging order on a house, and you are not sure what its relating to, would it be up to us or the solicitors to prove that this has to be paid and what evidence they have regarding this so as to hopefully not allow this to come out of the estate?

if the figures are out by lets say £500~ would it be worth in your eyes following up and question each and every discrepancy? some of the costs are phenomenal and unjust imo.

sorry for the ramble, just trying to understand how people deal with these situations..

So are we. I think no one has responded as you haven't stated what you're actually dealing with.

Are you a beneficiary receiving final estate accounts from the executor?

Are you an executor receiving some sort of accounts from a solicitor you've instructed to work for you?

??? It's as clear as mud at the moment!

In general, if I receive something I don't understand, I ask the sender to explain it ...
