for the girls who have local shops stock their cakes, how do you go about this? I was asked by a local shop to let them have one of my cakes to put on display, so they could try and sell it for me.
Do you sell it to the shop?
Do you let the shop have a bit of your stock to sell?
How do you get your money from sales?
May sound a bit thick, but i'm not sure.0 -
Kitiaracat, Lovely cake. Well done! I think it would look nice with a pink ribbon around the middle.
Rusty – What a fab cake! Looks great with the orange ribbon. Where did you get your “honeycomb” blanket from? It makes a nice change. I like your yellow one too.
Am a bit fed up a moment of the same old pink & blue ones. Primark do the only yellow ones I know of round here.
Finally had reply from Asda about £1.50 Ellies. Apparently, they only reduce when they aren’t selling well and will not be going down in my store at all. At least it will save me making journeys to check. I suppose they are still good value at 2 for £5.
Julie, I think your gift basket is so sweet. It’s really cute and I don’t think it needs anything else. Mind you! If your anything like me you will keep tweaking!
Lovely cakes Jenny – glad you managed to post!A0 -

Hi Moonpenny,
My honeycomb blanket was from asda with the normal baby blankets, the other white one was a cheapy one brand new with the tags off ebay, paid about £1.40 inc postage the tags on it said Dunnes if that helps, its very long when folded so absolutely perfect got a great bargain with that one. The yellows on my cakes are muslins (2nd tier) and the top tiers are the £ shop burp cloths. I have only ever seen yellow blankets in Primark, My inlaws came round on sunday with 2 big bags of clothes from primark for the kiddies and in my daughters was a yellow blanket :j she loves it and now has one in every colour plus several other pink ones :rotfl:
Shame about your Ellies Moonpenny, I can get some from my asda next time I go up and send them to you if you want? mine are cheap, I can't understand how they can say they only reduce when not selling, they must sell them cause I have loads and then next thing they are all gone!!!
Lovely cakes everyone, can't believe so many of us posted at the same time :rotfl:Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0
