It is good. There's also a Windows based one as well (UBCD runs Linux)

Not exactly the same but on a similar basis there are loads of "live" CDs that will let you run an OS directly from the CD drive, without installing anything to hard disk, google for "live CD" to find them - a nice way to try linux for the first time if that's your inclination.
Similarly i've recently used some booting CDs with forensic tools, these are useful in a situation when a PC is hacked etc and you feel you can't trust what's on there. Knoppix, Auditor, Helix and gnoppix and whoppix are examples here.
