Expandable House repair

We have an expandable hose that has worked perfectly for a year. It has now sprung a leak at the fitting where the house meets the spray gun. It seems there is a tight clamp holding the hose and fitting together this area which I cannot budge. Can it be repaired. Apologies for heading typo error should read hose and not house!!!

A picture would help. But how is the hose clamped to the nozzle - is it a standard jubilee clip ? If so, a spray of WD40 might loosen the screw to allow you to undo it.

Failing that, can you get a pair of wire cutters to it and cut the clip off ? You could then cut off the inch or so of hose that's leaking and re-attach it - a new jubilee clip will cost pennies from any DIY shop.

The expandables, have a silicon tube as the internal water pipe, and once it starts going thats it (in my experience)
    Theres no jubilee clips etc
I made several attempts to repair mine before it hit the bin !

I expect you are talking about an X-Hose or one of the many copies.

These are not designed to be repairable. Frankly, if they were any good, they'd have taken the hose market by storm, but all I've ever seen on MSE is grumbles about them.
