Quick question

in Credit cards
I ordered something from QVC on my Credit Card and then changed my mind and cancelled it.
They said they would not take the money and eventually it would drop back on my Credit Card?
I am a little confused.
I have a Barclaycard and at the moment the amount has come off my available credit to spend.
Can anybody tell me when it will go back on my credit card and my available to spend will go back to what it was prior to this. I am not using my Credit card until this has been cleared up.
It is a different system to buying something and then getting a refund I know that and I am a little confused.
Thanks

It's a pre-authorisation charge.
It'll go away once the final authorisation (The item being shipped and billed) doesn't actually happen. It's done to make sure you have the funds available to make the purchase.
It may take a few days but it'll go away.

There is no reason to stop using your card, unless this QVC amount has put you close to your credit limit.0 -
I understand that
I am nowhere near my credit limit
I just want to see what happens first0
