Ending a tenancy agreement

If a tenancy agreement started on 29th and my contract states this :

Periodic Tenancy 118.Should the Tenancy not be brought to an end at the conclusion of the Term of this Agreement then the Tenant acknowledges that he must give the Landlord not less than one month’s written notice, which must also expire on the last day of a period of the continuation tenancy.

Can I give notice mid month or have to give just before the 29th of the month?
Will I be required to pay a further month if I gave notice tomorrow? Thanks

Your notice has to (a) be at least a month, (b) expire on the 28th of a month. So you can give notice now, but the soonest it can expire (and you cease being liable for rent) is July 28th.

You can give notice at any time.

    However that notice must:

    a) be at least a month, and
    b) end on 28th of a month

If giving notice today (1st June) it could not expire on 28th June as that is less than a month, so the earliest would be 28th July.
