Removing pink rockwool loft insulation safely?

Hi,
Does anyone know the safest, least messy, way of removing pink rock wool loft insulation in preparation for a loft conversion, professionally or DIY? The loft has no windows, roof has never been sarked due to being a period home and as a result rock wool fibres and black dusty silt blow everywhere. It has a small hatch and step ladders and we live in the property.

Get a good mask and start bagging!

Mask, gloves and overalls, best to do it on cooler days as it will get very warm up there if the sun is shining. Use some boards to stand on and if there are hard to reach areas you can tape a bent nail or some such to a brush shaft or bamboo cane to let you hook and pull it towards you.

Leave it until the loft conversion is started. No doubt they've factored in the removal in the costs.
