DRO Assessment query.

Is it possible to have a couple of intermediaries from different charities perform an assessment prior to paying the application fee?

Am I correct in thinking that it's not the intermediaries who can impose a rejection and subsequent 6 year ban on applying for DRO but the Official Receivers who can only do this?

I don't think that is possible.

If the intermediary thought your application would be rejected, they wouldn't process it in the first place.

The insolvency service usually go with the intermediarys recomendation.

    Hi portofcall,

You could go to several competent authorities to be assessed by several intermediaries if you want to, but you will need to go through the full process every time and that will be very time consuming and a unnecessary in reality. When you apply for the DRO an intermediary should try and guide you and discuss any concerns they have about the application and the possibility of rejection. It will ultimately be your choice whether or not to proceed to submit the application.

If you do submit it and it is rejected then the Insolvency Service will prevent any further applications going through for 6 years and you will lose the £90 fee.
