Ticketmaster Insurance Scam

Beware of the sneaky insurance radio button when purchasing tickets on Ticketmaster. The charge is concealed within a big block of small text and the actual option to tick looks like you're agreeing to Terms and Conditions.

I find the experience absolutely appalling. I wanted to add a link to an image to show you what the option looks like but I can't here. It is placed just below your basket total so you'd never think that there's any extra cost being added.

There is a grey box with small print and icon on the left that says "Insure your tickets". Underneath, there are two radio buttons - make sure you tick no if you don't want to buy the insurance.

Wow, with all the data they are getting from you just visiting the website im surprised they dont just give the tickets away free.

Is it the per transaction delivery fee? Not seen an insurance option yet.

There's definitely a "protect your tickets" or something along those lines on there.

It's an opt in rather than opt out thing but I did accidently buy it once as it looked like a terms and conditions thing. Cost me about £6 a ticket.

Moral of the story is read more carefully!
