Waiting for tenants to move out- Anyone want to join me?

In the process of buying a property which is currently being rented. Tenants are due to move out soon so we are able to exchange/complete. Anyone in a similar situation?

Tenants may take 6 months to be evicted.
Do they want to move? Have they got somewhere to go?
Hope you havented invested money (legals, survey etc) in this purchase. Best to wait till the property is empty.0 -

Anyone in a similar situation? 2 month eviction notice comes to an end in a couple of weeks, seem like it's taken 2 years! Can't wait to move in to the property now. :dance:
There's no such thing as a 2 month eviction notice....
There is a 2 month s.21 notice which allows the LL to go to court should the tenants no move.0 -
Sounds like a classic case of a landlord trying to have his cake and eat it, by keeping tenants in the property till the very last minute.0

Well, good luck. As other posters have said this is not an ideal situation - I just hope that the tenants move out when they have been asked to move out and the landlord doesn't have to actually evict them via the courts and bailiffs (which would probably add at least 3 months to the process).Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks

Not an ideal situation, as you're probably now aware.
If it's any consolation, I was in this scenario recently, except I was the tenant.
Being an honest individual, a date was agreed with the landlord and we were packed and left on said day. With time to clean the house top to bottom for the new owners.0 -
When they are moved out, view everything before exchange.0

I do hope the tenants don't suddenly feel that a big pile of cash would help them to vacate in a timely manner.0
