Nelski ((Hugs)) my thoughts are with you today xNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
£300/£1300 -
Morning all
Nelski, I will keep you in my thoughts today.
Today I have 3 people due to collect stuff, I need to take some packed boxes to the boat, run the strimmer over the lawn, it was mowed yesterday, phone the council to arrange a rubbish collection, go to the hardware shop and buy hooks, drop more stuff at the CS and start cleaning through.
Painkillers first though as I still ache from yesterday!
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -
Morning everyone,
Thinking of you all today Nelski x
Bright and sunny here in EA, got a fair bit done in the garden yesterday and have to say am very pleased with how it all looks, I just need to pot up some red geraniums to go by the front door and I'm all done.
DOH is off to cricket tomorrow and, weather dependent, he may be there all over the weekend so he is doing some top level creeping and taking me out to lunch today
whisper it quietly that I actually quite like time in the house by myself but will never say no to a nice lunch
Apart from that not a lot planned, WM is on with the bedding in and need to whizz round with the hoover but that's about it.
Have a good day all x0 -

Morning all,
June already. Scary.
Last night was good. My friend came over and fitted my TV to the wall, so my living room is looking a bit more how I planned. My other friend who works in a printing company printing of a HQ picture for a frame I bought at Ikea. It's beginning to take shape.
Today signals the first Thursday of the month which means dinner date with my gran. I offered to host but she said she would rather for various reasons. I agreed on the basis that I'll bring her over another night and spoil her.
AoD - An old technique I was given and still use is to put a golf ball in a sock and roll your foot over. Can reduce swelling and get rid of any knots in muscles.
Nelski - Wishing you all the best for today
Have a nice day all.0 -
Morning (((((((((( hugs ))))))))) if you need one.
Thoughts very much with Nels and her family today. Do not worry about the wobble.......it really does not matter, what matters is that your Dad gets a good send off, no one is going to throw tomatoes at you for having a perfectly natural reaction. Once today is over you will be able to grieve for your Dad.
It's a fine morning, OH will be out to the garden. I am still in bed, I was really tired last night, came to bed at 7.30pm and read.
No plans for the day, just take it as it comes.0 -
Nels you will be fine You are a strong lady and you will do your dad proud , my thoughts are with you today on such a difficult occassion, much love you you and all your family xxx
Good morning chums well a new month and almost half way through the year already.Today is my youngest DGS Mikey's birthday and he will become that object of fear ,a TEENAGER !!! luckily he is at the moment still a normal little lad and he texted me this morning to say he was so chuffed as he had got a real grown-up watch that he wanted for his birthday and some new trainers and also some cash.he is going to Bluewater with his sister tomorrow to lash the cash on clothes I think (he will have a bit more cash when I see him later
:):)
The weather is warming up nicely and looks like its going to be dry and bright.
Hope you all have a peaceful day, only one more week then all the hot air spouted by the politicians will hopefully decide a new government of whatever leaning and life as we know it will return to relative normality.
It never fails to amuse me how no matter what, the politicians are all out and about, promising the earth to us all, and once their jobs are safe for a few more years they vanish into the bowels of parliament and leave the rest of us to muddle though
:):) This has been the same for a good few hundred years and we all manage to get along anyway. Our local chap hasn't been seen for awhile
I always like to think of David Attenborough saying in his husky voice
" Now what's that moving in the undergrowth ,hmm yes it could be the lesser-known MP for this constituency, and yes he has a large rosette pinned to his chest ...will he come out and face us ? or will he disappear once he has eaten our vote ?"
:):)
Trust me, no matter what they will get off our TV screens within about another week, and I look forward to Tennis and Wimbledon, strawberries and cream , a glass of vino in the garden, and a bit of normal life once more I am all electioned out
:):)
Have a good day chums, and if you have some ,enjoy the sun
Cheers

Nelski - I hope today goes as well as it can.
It's my last day alone, DH arrives tonight so I want to finish the cleaning today, although I'll leave the vacuuming for him as I hate the machine here.
I bought a long duster to de-cobweb yesterday, I'm not used to the high ceilings, but I just looked for it and can't find it so I'm going mad trying to think where it may have gone. Unfortunately there's no-one else here to blame.
I need to ring the Dr's because I tried to go online to order a repeat prescription and it wouldn't let me even though I was using the correct id and password. Methinks it might be something to do with the ransomeware attack because we were one of the areas affected and the surgery went down for a while.0 -
Best wishes and hugs for today Nelski xxx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0
