Closing a Limited Company - Advise Required...

Hi

As the title says.

Created one 2 years ago but the idea never really kicked off. So I'm looking at closing it.

I know I have to send a form 652a to Companies House with a £10 cheque.

Any idea's on who else to contact?

Presumably I need to let the HMRC (Inland Revenue) know too but with them having soooo many depts - who should i contact?

I would contact:
bank (if you have a business account inthe name of the limited company)
HMRC for VAT (if registered)
local council (if you have a business premises you pay rates on)
insurers (depending on what cover you have)
anyone else you may have a contract with (e.g. mobile phone company etc etc)

Regarding who to contact at HMRC, do you not have some correspondence from them such as assessments and letters which give the name and address of your local tax office?
