Just a quick one before I goto bed.

anyone not yet signed upto the circle app... like paypal but a newer app. you can send people money and receive money and withdraw to your bank account.

Anyhow, for those doing prolific academic, you will find the fees for cashing out at less than £20 cheaper than paypal and free at £20.

    If you go to vouchercloud,
    https://www.vouchercloud.com/circle-vouchers

if you aren't already signed up, sign upto voucher cloud, click through the link for circle app. They will deposit £5 free into your circle account for signing up through them. You can withdraw the £5 into your bank account. You need to add the code from the vouchercloud site to the circle app where it says promo code. You will need a phone that can receive texts as they will text you a code to activate your circle account. And they may want to verify you bank account by "withdrawing" an amount. They don't actually seem to or if they do, they put it back/credit you the same. It is to make sure you have a valid bank account.

then you can use circle app for your prolific academic payouts.

if you already have a circle account, you MAY qualify for the free £5.

ps the circle app is fine. I have been using it since last summer with no isuses.

    Happy 1st June everybody.

I received my 10 year part of MSE badge yesterday from Badger.

Doesn't time fly? I have seen so many changes over the years. Sites have come and go, daily clicks have reduced, free lotteries have come and gone.

People have become debt free, mortgage free and left MSE. Others have come back as they like the extra money they can make to help pay for things, some just like the good habit of making extra :)

    It's been quite a journey.

    Congrats old-timer :D

  • Just checked internet banking and see I've been credited with £19.29 from a very old bank account that I closed last week. This was one of those 'forgotten' accounts that Martin tells us to check for:o. I'd totally forgotten that I'd left a very, very small amount in it after cashing in an old ISA about 12 years ago when finances were more dire than they even are now:o. They downgraded it to a saver account of some sort and apparently have been adding a few pennies interest each year to it ever since. I never received any paper statements and had no access to it online for years so forgot it:o. I know I'll never use it again so thought I might as well have the money and close it down;)

Not sure if I can count this money in my monthly total. What do you say please, Aesop?

Had my free prize hair cut yesterday. Wow, the transformation after my shaggy dog state was amazing:j. They were wonderful, treated me like royalty and everything was free. They even gave me a small bag of products to take home at the end:T. The hair styling would normally have cost £87:eek:(it's a posh place;)) and goodness knows what the goodies would have cost. Not sure if I can add any of this (I'd normally only have spent about £20 on a haircut myself, I wouldn't have gone there). What do you think please, Aesop?

Many thanks for your Circle App tip Aesop :A. I've signed up and the £5 is on its way to my bank account :D

Also won £40 from some bonus bingo funds I managed to play through yesterday. Won't add either of these to my total until they hit my account though.

well done on lost bank account carbootcrazy. yes add that money to the challenge.

wow to the haircut!!!! I would normally ask for a photo but as this is an open forum, I won't.

how lovely they gave you products to take home. that was a super win.

I would say add £20 saved as this is what you would normally spend and this has saved you £20. what a lovely lovely prize.
