This has been the bane of my life all year (and the English grade boundaries).
Ofqual have said
"In the first year each new GCSE subject is introduced, broadly the same proportion of students will get a grade 4 or above as would have got a grade C or above in the old system."
So all the paper will be marked they will then fit the bell curve of results to the old A-G results and then put on the grade boundaries.
But what if this years cohort are smarter/dimmer than last years cohort you ask? Indeed a good question and one there has been no answer to.
This might help or not ..Rational judgement, now, at this very moment.
Virtuous action, now, at this very moment.
(Wisdom, Courage, Self-control, Justice)
Willing acceptance - now, at this very moment - of what you can’t change0
