How to sell a sword cane?

Options
Last year, when I was clearing out the house of my recently deceased Dad, I came across a sword cane. It looks like a walking stick made out of birch but contains a very lethal looking long blade.

I'm pretty sure these sorts of things cannot be sold on eBay or a car boot etc, so I was wondering if anyone on here had any advice on how I should proceed without running foul of the law.

The only option I can think of is to use an auctioneer.
Ian.

An auctioneer is probably your best bet due to the restriction on blades.

Unless it is an antique more than 100 years (I think) old, a sword cane is classed as an offensive weapon in the UK and as such, it is illegal to sell or to give it away.
