Bit of a social dilemma here
As someone who is seen as the social hub, the go to guy, the big man on campus. Losing my local social reputation is significant to me.
Every year at the local fete, we usually donate something half decent such as our kettle last year. This year, i donated my daughters hatchimal. Not realising that Blue Burtle was more than half decent, i went and got it back and donated our toaster instead.
On the big day, we arrived at the bric a brac stall to buy something half decent, like a toaster and we were shunned by Lynn, the organiser
She is a right gossip and word must have spread that we took back a donation. Social status must be at a new low
what can we do to improve our status within the local community?

I can rustle up a decent steak and kidney pie. It is legendary amongst the local dining clubringo_24601 wrote: »Your only option is to donate a kidney to the PTA now

There's nothing you can do now as the damage has been done. On the plus side now is probably the best time of year to be putting your house on the market.0

If you absolutely had to take back your daughters hatchimal, you should have replaced it with something of equal value, like your daughter.0

Na, she has a bit of a bad reputation for being a trouble maker within the local babysitting clubfairy_lights wrote: »If you absolutely had to take back your daughters hatchimal, you should have replaced it with something of equal value, like your daughter.

You could invite Lynn back to yours for some steak and kidney pie and maybe something for desert...0

Bake the hatchimal in the middle of the pie, protest ignorance when she picks out the fused pieces. Best to make a pie that needs furnace like temperatures.., or a pizza.0
