If it prevents just one person from starting a brand new thread just to ask about the marking tool then it was a post well made.

My clearscore dropped 146 points this month, no changes, all accounts paid on time. Am i bothered? Not in the least. Im also applying for a mortgage soon, my file looks better and better every month. The only change is i cancelled my equifax subscription, couldnt possibly be a ploy to lure me back could it? Total scam, ignore it. If you are borderline get a good broker. Good luck!

Remember to never check your score on a day that ends in Y, or it will drop by 31 points.

I know today is Tuesday and that ends with a 'Y', but I couldn't wait until tomorrow so ignored your advice zx81 and checked my score earlier.

I was shocked to see it has only dropped by 15 points.... this is disgraceful, you promised me that my score would drop 31 points!!!

zx81 I demand you pay me compensation for the distress and inconvenience your plainly wrong advice has caused me!!!!!!!!!

On a slightly more serious note, my score has dropped 15 points, the only change being a new current account with no overdraft facility. Significant changes made to my credit cards however haven't been included in this month's report... the information probably hasn't made it to the CRA's yet... so what they see is not a true reflection of my credit history today. It is all mumbo jumbo.

I found that opening current accounts with no overdraft facility decreased my score, although by a smaller amount, for longer than opening credit cards and maxing them out, the score shot back up after one month with them. Plus all 3 agencies reacted differently to the same events. Any change, good or bad, will generally push your score downwards.

I really do not see the need for you to be rude. If you get fed up of answering the same questions then you could always just ignore the thread, why you need to respond in that way when you could just ignore it baffles me.

Pixie has answered over 10,000 questions. You have answered about 50. Perhaps if you would answer a few more questions you would be in a better position to comment.

My GP has treated thousands of patients, my friend has had ten of thousand or passengers on his train. Neither have to right to be rude, it's unnecessary.
I didn't realise that there was a minimum number of posts before you were allowed to comment, you obviously started at zero posts once.

Not as unnecessary as another thread about credit scores. ;)

You must be on about my thread. We are both lucky in the respect that I really don't care what you think, also others have been kind enough to help and you shouldn't care if it's pointless as you do not have to read it.
