Ipad reset passcode issue

I have an old ipad 1 I gave to a relative. They have tried to reset it but when they go to enter a new apple id it prompts them for a restriction code, only as it has been some time I cannot remember what the code is. Is there a way around this? Can I delete the device from my apple id?

I'm a greenfield sight for sore eyes, and sore eyes are just needing the light, the shapes, and the shadows of the space we share, before it splits into Thin Air.
