Automated phone calls / messages

I was wondering if anyone else has had this recently? In the past month I've been getting phone calls from different numbers that leave the same automated message - all I hear is "household on benefits. For a call back press 2". The first part of the message must start playing before the 1571 message has finished so I don't get to hear who the company is or anything so I can't even report it. I'm registered with TPS as well.
Numbers so far that have called are:
019866698582
019222896559
014472522882
017272638542
019776879832
015898329669
013775528652
It's never the same number calling more than once so even though I block them now I'm still getting phonecalls with the same automated message left. I would love to know which company it was so I could get it reported.

If you really want to know which organisation it is you could try searching online with the numbers, but I would urge you to log and report these calls to the Information Commissioner's Office

I've already searched the numbers and came up blank - it's the first thing I do when I get an unknown number calling. Thanks for the link!0

The first thing to remember is that caller display does NOT show the number of who is calling. It shows a presentation number. The displayed number can be programmed by the caller and can be almost anything. They change the displayed number after each call to defeat call-blocking based on caller ID. Report the calls to ICO with date and time.
The only way to block these calls is by using a trueCall plug-in call blocker or a handset such as the BT 8500 or 8600 series 'Call Guardian" units with trueCall built in. These issue a verbal challenge to unknown callers and your phone does not ring until that has been passed. Nuisance callers and automated calls simply hang up when challenged and your phone does not ring.0
