Broadband misrepresentation

Options
Hi,

I'm about to complete and move into my new build flat on Tuesday, however when I went to the home demo on Saturday I was dealt some information that only the IFN can supply the property broadband (Independent fibre network). Since January when I reserved the property, until now I was told BT (and hence everyone who uses Openreach) would be a provider of the property. I therefore set up a package with Sky which I have since had to cancel last minute (they supply fibre to the other side of the road to the development). Am I able to complain somehow? I have to go for some small companies such as SeeTheLight, LoveYourBroadband, Vfast, etc. who have very mixed reviews and there isn't anything about them in OFCOM's information.

TLDR; Brochure online says "BT points to living room and master bedroom" and agents have consistently told me BT would be a provider since January. Now told me half a week before completing and moving in that they have made a deal with IFN to lock out the site (I believe until the development is finished, which is probably another 3-4 years). Can I even complain to them about it and seek something?

Thanks and sorry if poorly written.

"BT points to living room and master bedroom" generally refers to sockets for a landline, rather than internet connectivity.

Did the brochure say that BT would be a provider of telephony services or broadband?

BT has been completely locked out of the site and no copper phone line is going to the development at all we have been told on Saturday. However it isn't what we were told by inland homes since January that BT would provide it.
It doesn't explicit say bt broadband provided

Looking at the IFN website, you could receive a far superior service.

I appreciate that you have no choice in the matter, but you could end up with a better product as a result.

As for compensation, you would need to quantify the loss you will suffer as a result.
