Capetown and the Cape peninsula !
And Franschhoek and maybe the Garden Route too.

£1500 isn't going to cover two weeks in SA unless you slum it.

I'd choose a cheaper destination (Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam) and do SA when you've a larger budget.

There is a very active board on here about Las Vegas - and at that time of year you could get a few cheap flights.

    Wow. Spoilt for choice.

I did Vegas as part of my California trip so that's ticked off.

Likely to be between Mexico, Thailand and Sri Lanka.

With an aspiration to keep travelling to a minimum whilst actually abroad, these seem to fit the bill most alongside having excellent beaches, plenty to do and some fantastic food.

Love Thailand, but also Puerto Vallarta on Mexico's west coast is far cheaper than Cancun way. Have been to Sri Lanka but not your best option imo

Cuba AI has been coming up this year May June.

2 weeks AI for £700-£900 seems to be a glut of virgin flights.
    Cheaper in Cassa
more expensive if you want to go multi center.
came up on hotukdeals and holiday pirates,
other options through the same company seem to be within your budget.

If you are considering Thailand then take a look at Krabi area, a short flight from Bangkok. Ao Nang was a lovely place, but we really loved Riley, tropical paradise, amazing beaches, snorkeling and chilled out vibe. You get there by boat from Ao Nang beach. But check the weather for the time you're planning. We went start of the season last week of October/first week of November.

Vietnam is my top choice, way better than Thailand IMO. There are now direct flights from LHR which are reasonable. Bali is also a great place to go, the people are amazing. The only issue is the journey is a pig.

Cape Town, great weather and wine and its relatively cheap. We did the Garden Route from Cape Town to Port Elisabeth and tagged on Safari at the end of our trip.

You could fly via Dubai and party there also.

What about Mexico? Some void deals and if you stay along the Riviera Maya then you have Xcaret, Xel Ha etc. .... Brilliant for a day out. We stayed in the Gran Bahia Principe Tulum, great hotel including a small dolphinarium.
