Need a Scooter

Hi, I've been wondering about this for a while now. I have a physical disability that varies from day to day and I'm now forcing myself to look into how to go about getting myself an electric scooter - but I have no idea where to start! Is there an NHS scheme I don't know about or do I literally have to have thousands in the bank to buy one myself? I'm only 30 and don't really want to need a scooter, but I'm going to have to give in a little, I think.
Thank you in advance

If you get DLA/PIP you can use it to lease a scooter on the Motability scheme.
Some info here.0 -
Unless you recieve mobility part of DLA/PIP the only other way is to buy it yourself. No need to spend thousands. I bought myself one 2nd hand, fits easily in the boot of my car as it comes apart. This was just £130. Do some internet searches in your area, for EG ebay or gumtree. Theres most likely some on there.Returntosender wrote: »Hi, I've been wondering about this for a while now. Thanks for the replies. I am on standard rate mobility for PIP but high rate care. Unfortunately not eligible for any motability help

We bought a second hand boot scooter for my husband. It cost £140. Much cheaper than buying new, and we can get spares etc for it.
The stroller.for the dog cost us more!0
