Selling old watch parts

Options
Hi. I inherited from my grandad an Omega Seamaster Deville, which I've had to get repaired a couple of times. I'm wondering if selling the parts which were returned after the repair on eBay is a thing?

From looking at the sold listings, it seems like the winding cap might possibly be worth something, but I'm not sure about the innards from the watch. Also, I've no idea whether selling these on eBay is sensible, or whether there's a better place to sell them. Does anyone have any experience in this area?

Ebay is very good for broken bits and pieces like this- just describe the items well and bide your time until they sell.

I sold a load of old clock parts a couple of years back, a pile of what I would have normally thrown in the bin. Amazed at what I got for them and the feedback received. One man's junk is another man's treasure ! Carefully listed with no promises as to condition and suitability should see you OK.

If something is being sold as broken bits and pieces, make sure you give NO indication as to what you think the fault is.

We sold some clock parts, face, movement and pendulum. Said we didn't know if the movement worked so sold as spares

We would have been happy with £20, but they sold for £90 and we had bids from India, Thailand and Europe. They eventually went to Brazil

Just take lots of photos and sell as spares and you should be ok.

I sold a proper antique lantern clock, it was all in bits, and all the bits were loose in a box and I wasn't even sure they were all there. It came from a mixed lot at auction and sold for 4 times more than I bought the whole lot for. That went overseas as well.
