Even if she is keeping all the rental income I still think you need to declare your share of the rent to HMRC. I don't think you can't afford not to pay a solicitor for advice. You need to get this property sold and shot of your ex once and for all.
Direct debit is just one way of paying the mortgage. If you have spoken with your ex about changing the account the direct debits is paid from and she refuses to allow that to be changed you could make the payment by standing order or faster payment.0 -
I understand what your saying but how can i sell a property when we puts it up for sale then backs out when we have a buyer so then there isn't a person renting which isn't paying the mortgage? I am even thinking of declaring myself bankrupt to get out of this mess.0

You go to court and you force the sale of the property. If you ex is being uncooperative then the judge can opt to make her pay your legal expenses. I don't think bankruptcy is the answer you need proper, paid for, legal advice.0

Go and speak to a solicitor they will tell you what you can do, how much it will cost and the likely outcome.
If you go to a local solicitor (check it isn't a chain) you will probably get the above free.0
