Going by tv programmes about immigration control in the UK ,Australia etc,they appear to ask how much money you have if they suspect that you are not really on holiday. For instance , a man had just £200 for a month's holiday here, so the authorities were very suspicious that he intended to illegally work to keep himself or just disappear.
I always travel to Australia with very little money. My money stays in my bank & I draw it out in $au when I'm there. I've never been asked how much money I have. Not sure how I would get over that hurdle.:smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING0 -
I stand to be corrected but in general I think they mean funds rather than cash as such... so Bank statement... a recent bank statement (original presumably best) showing sufficient funds that you have access to I would imagine superb evidence should they be concerned if you can afford to fund your stay.I always travel to Australia with very little money.
