Complaint about car breakdown/recovery company?

I must admit, i did not read all of your first post, but wow, you really went through it. Of course you should make a complaint, you was in the car for hours unnecessary, you poor thing

The RAC wont recover you in that situation. Its an accident not a breakdown.

They will arrange recovery at your own costs though. So your likely to get the same treatment next time. If your in the same spot its probably going to be the same recovery company as last time.

After hours there will be fewer drivers. GOOD money though if your a night owl like me. Our rates were fixed though and we got a percentage as a bonus.
Rates worked on the type of recovery (expected time) and the distance/time from out the yard to back to the yard.

The extra bonus would be another job closer to where you are instead of going all the way back to the yard.

Sometimes dawdling back to the yard was worth it, sometimes you had to go the opposite direction though.

Downside, motorway breakdowns late evening can be scary. A few near misses. HGVs dozing off as they near their limit on driving hours.
