Provisional driving licence

Afternoon all,

Most of you know that I have applied for my first provisional driving licence and it came last week my foam and this afternoon, I took my pictures for the foam to sent off, but just wondering if my neighbour could sign my photo and foam as she said, she would be more then happy to sign it, just wondering if DVLA would accept my neighbour to sign for it?

Any advice would be great, thanks. :)

There should be a list with the form of who is "qualified" to sign.
    Here's the list

If you have a biometric passport you don't need anyone to sign.

If you haven't, then you need a responsible, upright pillar of the community to sign that it is really you.

The list of suitable people is included in the application pack, but includes:

    • local business person or shopkeeper
    • librarian
    • professionally qualified people, eg a lawyer, teacher or engineer
    • police officer
    • bank or building society staff
    • civil servant
    • minister of religion
    • magistrate
    • local councillor
    • Members of Parliament, Assembly Member, Member of the Scottish Parliament or Member of the European Parliament
If your neighbour is one of these then they can sign it.

    EDIT: Even slower....
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

Thanks, but my neighbour is not one of these so I take it she can't sign for it.

Unless she is on the list then no, she can't sign.

I have no idea if doctors open but you are right they usually charge. Are you close to your council office? Go In and see if any councillors in. I've done that and they don't charge a thing.

It will also need to be someone who knows you - not just a random stranger.
