Clarity Application Stuck

Hi, I made an online application for a Halifax Clarity Card last Thurs and it was instantly approved. I waited for confirmation but never received anything, not even an email. I called the customer services on Mon and turns out i put .com instead of co.uk at end of email address(my fault). Anyway the adviser said I should still receive something in post in next few days. Nothing arrived by today so that was a week ago, I called the customer services again today 26/5/17 and the adviser said the application has been approved but is essentially stuck in the system and doesn't look like its going to progress. He then explained he could do an application over the phone and he'd sort out the problem with the previous application. I agreed to this after I asked him whether this would affect my credit score and he told me no and it was basically a technical issue.

Has anyone experienced anything like this before and do I have any reason to be concerned about my credit score despite what the guy over the phone told me?

You have no credit score, so certainly no need to worry about it.
