I think this is a different comp or is it the same comp with a different method of entry, I'm
now!

There are two competitions on this thread. Details of both here.
The first you enter by locating a snail on the online picture, the second we need to get from the actual book.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0 -
Aaah I did the picture one, so we are just waiting for an answer to the book one?0

Yup, I think so.
I entered the separate comp to win a copy of this book. If I win that, and get time to read the thing, I'll post the answer! Many tx to all who post constructively in all the forums!:beer:0 -
I know where the snail is. If you get to the bottom right-hand section of the picture, you will see like a bridge with a boat on top. Then look to the left of the boat and you'll see a spirally whirl, click on it. Actually there's a few spirally whirls knocking about but you'll soon find it if you click around that area.
Edit: Just checked my library and they don't have the book. DD still has £20 voucher to spend in Waterstones though, so maybe I'll have to tempt her if it looks good. lol.
Thank you very much, Stepsy. It's just a shell, while I was looking for something more snail-like.
Good luck, everyone!Still waiting for Dyson to bring out a ride-on hoover...Memberships:

This is definitely worth a bump.
Has anyone read or got the book Mirrorscape?
We're looking for the word "snail" in the text somewhere.
We are not looking for a snail in a picture - that's a different comp.
Any help would be much appreciated - thank you! Many tx to all who post constructively in all the forums!:beer:0 -
Might pop into the library at the weekend and see if I can borrow this. No idea what it's about but we'll see! Or get my MIL to read it as she reads fast!
ETA: Well I've got the book in my mitts at last. Mightly big for a kids book with 592 pages! (well, 10+ years). Might take a while so if anyone else finds it let us know!!Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A

Well, I've got half way through and found the word snail - it's written as 'snail-like' twice on the same page (so far). Do we reckon that could be it? I'll keep reading and let you know if the word appears on it own!
ETA: OK, ignore me! I've just read this on the entry form page and it sucks!
"Please note there are two instances in the book where the author uses the words snail-like and snail-fiends but were looking for where the word appears without any hyphenation."
Arggh! He did that on purpose!!Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A
