Oven Knob Numbers Worn Off!

Grumpling
I need a new oven knob because it's so worn you can no longer read the gas marks, but it turns out my oven manufacturer charges £20 for a knob! Are they serious?!
(site won't let me post a pic or a link because I'm a new member, but it's "Leisure GRB6GVK Top Oven Thermostat Knob" if you want to see).
I'm considering if it'd be possible to just redraw the marks, but not sure I could place them accurately- they aren't faint- they're just gone, most of them, so there's not much to work with, plus it's white on black, which is always harder than the other way around!
I've been on Ebay etc and looked for second hand options- could only find a full (used) set of 6 for £30, but they're a little worn too!
What would you do? Any genius solutions? Feels horrible spending £20 for a few number markings! - the knobs themselves are fine, I literally just need new numbers!

go to a shop and take a picture of the nob, resize and print onto sticky label.
cut/trim to fit onto the bit that had the numbers.
or is yours an older one that is now obsolete.

I've used Tippex in the past......you can get similar in a pen thing. I just marked the 200C point as that and 20C either side are what I use most!0

An oven thermostat would give you the temp at any given setting, say you get it to 100 then make a mark, 125, 150 etc. A touch up paint for bathroom ceramics in white would do, they come with a brush in the lid for application. You could use masking tape for neat lines.

I just used a narrow point marker pen and once dry, painted over them with clear nail polish.
Okay, the writing is a bit wobbly but at least it hasn't worn off again and I can still read it!
Martin Lewis would be proud of me.0 -
have you looked for decals on ebay rather than new knobs?YNWA

Old flatmate did this years ago. Solution was an oven thermometer and a blob of nail varnish at 200c0
