Didn’t think you could have fun running around the muddy Northumbrian countryside? Think again: the Helseyside Mestival is a riot of mud, fun and family entertainment, held on 29 July in the grounds of Helseyside Hall. Five and 10 kilometre routes run through stunning Northumbrian countryside in the ultimate test of physical and mental strength. Don’t worry that the exertion makes the experience less fun, though: everyone who runs across the finish line ends up with a smile on their face.

The race caters for all ages and fitness levels, and with this bumper prize you’ll have the ability to relax after the race with a meal and drink voucher to be redeemed in the Mestival Village, full to the brim with street food sellers, and a night’s stay for four in a luxurious Helseyside Hut (complete with a double bed and bunk beds) so you can sleep off those aches and pains.
