You're both spot on. Given what the OP has said, their liability is between taking over responsibility and changing supplier. All that went before is down to whoever was responsible for the property at the time.

I rang E.on and provided new meter readings. The customer service is great, I wish I knew who the supplier was otherwise I wouldn't switch! I will come back, promise. :)

I told the lovely lady on the phone my meter reading for 5th and they said they will amend everythign accordingly and send me a final bill. I have updated my meter reading for 25th to Greenstar so they have correct information. The lady at E.on confirmed that any bills or letters from them that don't specifically address to me I can ignore it. They may contact me again if there is any issue, which I am sure they will want to know who would be responsible and I will give them everything they need.

Finally sorted. Thank you so much everyone for your advice. I've learned so much the past few weeks :)

That's great streetlovin. Glad it's going through okay now and thanks for letting me know. As my colleague said, there might be stuff in the pipeline that will drop through your letterbox but, if not in your name, please ignore.
