It won't be reported only worry about once you know it's had an effect on your credit file.
Normally if a DD fails they will try and collect it a few days later which it appears they have in this instance.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
OP I had similar happen to me when I switched banks. Except there was no report to the credit file. They go on about a 7 day switch. They forget to tell you many companies need more than 7 days at their end. I check my accounts every day and if a DD has not gone out on the expected day, I contact the company concerned to check they have applied for the amount. I noticed an expected payment had not gone out. Speaking to the company concerned meant it was easily sorted and the payment collected.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0
