Missed DD payment due to bank switch

It won't be reported only worry about once you know it's had an effect on your credit file.

Normally if a DD fails they will try and collect it a few days later which it appears they have in this instance.

OP I had similar happen to me when I switched banks. Except there was no report to the credit file. They go on about a 7 day switch. They forget to tell you many companies need more than 7 days at their end. I check my accounts every day and if a DD has not gone out on the expected day, I contact the company concerned to check they have applied for the amount. I noticed an expected payment had not gone out. Speaking to the company concerned meant it was easily sorted and the payment collected.
