Drp

Hi Folks

Got home from work today to find a letter from DRP for a parking charge notice from 24/02/14 where my vehicle rear left wheel was parked over the left line as it curves in. Anyway at the time I appeal which I lost, so UKPC kept chasing, which I never replied too then got a letter from another company about the PCN which I wrote back never heard no more then I got a letter from DRP sometime in 2014 which I wrote back a letter I got from this forum & asking that they kindly refer this matter back too UKPC. Since then I have heard nothing until today.
Any advice would be helpful.

Now the letter today is a final reminder which reads

We are writing to you as a final reminder before we recommend to our client UK parking control Ltd to commence legal action against you. The balance remains unpaid on this account.

We can offer you a FINAL settlement offer today of £99.00 to close this case and prevent possible legal action.

This FINAL settlement will only be valid for 14 days from the date of this letter.

Three DRP threads in under 15 minutes. *sigh*

I'm guessing this is what prompted the bumping of the READ THIS BEFORE STARTING A THREAD ABOUT DRP thread.

the PPC has 6 years to pursue the person deemed "responsible"

so the case is left "open" for a minimum of 6 years , so 2 years is nothing and we regularly see similar threads after 5.5 years on here

in fact , the alleged debt never stops , but the case is statute barred after 6 years , meaning the PPC has 6 years to issue an MCOL (IN ENGLAND AND WALES , 5 IN SCOTLAND)
  • ok thanks for the info.
