Can anyone recommend a remote control for an iPad Air2 that will operate the video recording function remotely?

The only one I found online that specified video recording as well as taking photos was a Fintie, but that model doesn't seem to be available in this country.

Thanks.

The Apple watch does it but it would make a expensive remote

    Um, yes!

I was thinking more along the lines of £10 - £30! :rotfl:

Try a selfie stick this might just do the trick (especially a anker one)

I'm afraid a selfie stick won't do the job, as it's to videorecord practice performances of an AmDram group I'm in.

It has to work to a distance of around 15ft or so.

Pretty sure the Apple Watch can only be used as a remote to the iPhone it is paired to, you can't pair an Apple Watch to an iPad.

Can't afford an Apple Watch anyway. :(

Thanks for that, but I really am looking for a separate remote control.

I don't have another Apple device that I could use in the situation I need it for (#4).

I have a little Bluetooth contraption called iTech Smartphone & Tablet Remote Shutter which cost me £3. Compatible with Android 4.2.2 and iOS 6.0 and newer. It can be used for starting and stopping video recording on an iDevice if the camera app is started first and set to video. If that's not done first it takes single still shots. Claimed 10 metre range (usual for Bluetooth).

Thanks! That might do, and is cheap enough if it doesn't do!

(I even popped into my local Apple Store today, to ask if they had/knew of one, but they didn't. Not impressed!)

    I'll look into that!

Edit. :( Tried to order one but they are all out of stock. :(
