Postal PCN not sure what to do!

Hi

I've never posted on here before so excuse me if I don't get the info over correctly!

I received a PCN through the post on Monday from Civil Enforcement Ltd

I had mistakenly gone to the wrong Holiday Inn whilst waiting for a friend to arrive, we were in fact booked at a Holiday Inn Express 400 metres down the road (Taunton)

I was in the car park for 14 minutes according to the photographs provided on the 'PCN' 1 arrival and 1 leaving.

I called the Holiday Inn to explain the mistake they said that over 10 minutes you get a parking fine! I don't recall seeing signs stating this but I didn't think I was at the wrong hotel!

The letter shows the date of 'offence' as the 29th April and the PCN dated on the 18th May I received on the Monday 22nd

Any advise/help would be greatly appreciated

Holiday Inn are lying. A private parking company cannot give anyone a fine.

Please read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES then appeal AS KEEPER using the BPA template in blue you will find there.
You could carefully add without giving away the driver's identity that CEL have failed to apply the mandatory grace periods as stipulated in the BPA code of practice, and have sent the NTK too late to transfer keeper liability and have therefore failed to comply with the POFA 2012. They should therefore cancel the PCN now and save themselves the PoPLA fee.

If it is rejected, you the appeal to PoPLA using all the relevant points in post 3 of the NEWBIES.

It is all explained in the NEWBIES thread. You might find it useful to print off or write down the acronyms and abbreviations you will find there.

Make sure you only refer to The Driver and The Keeper in your appeal and on here. Never say, I parked, or anything else that gives away the driver's identity.
