Thanks

Probably Belfast international??Dwy galon, un dyhead,

As this is a Northern Ireland room I assumed that it would be evident that it was the International Airport I was referring to. If the word 'Belfast' missing from my post caused you to get uptight and resort to cursing then I apologise for upsetting your sensitivities.Val0

I've used it a few times, albeit at no cost as I have a Priority Pass card. It's generally pretty quiet so a nice relaxing space as opposed to the general waiting areas. For me personally I wouldn't say it's worth £20, but I never drink alcohol when flying, if you're going to have a couple of drinks then that probably changes that. The food is snacks as opposed to meals. Some people don't mind the cost to start their holiday in style, depends what you want. If you take out an Amex gold card you get two loungeclub passes, this would get you in for free and you can cancel the card before you have to pay any annual fee0

We have a Priority Pass card so it doesn't cost us in any airport but if you don't mind spending £40 (I take it you are travelling with your partner) I would definitely recommend it, just for the chill out factor and if you are drinking even 1 glass of wine and take a snack you wouldn't get much change from £20 in the departure lounge.Life isn't about waiting for the storm to passIt's about learning to dance in the rain0

When put in that context i think we might book it for our trip to Krakow in July.0 -

Thanks for that. I see the fee for the Standard Plus package on the Priority Pass is £159 per annum so I suppose if you use are a regular flyer it pays for itself.Val0 -

My Priority Pass comes with my Amex Platinum card, but that costs £450 a year! Thankfully I came to an arrangement with my employer that I would always eat in lounges rather than buying food in airports so they get the money back and we get the perks ourselves when going on our own holidays0 -
£159 per annum - my word, we are very fortunate then as we don't pay a penny for it. My OH has the Priority Pass card as part of his current account and it includes a guest and usage at any airport. Enjoy your holidays Motorguy and Rockman and if you decide to use the executive lounge I hope you feel you got the benefit of it!Life isn't about waiting for the storm to passIt's about learning to dance in the rain0

I used it last June. I think it came as part of a package with car parking at a reduced price. The snacks included little savoury wraps, pastries, crisps and nuts and olives - more than enough for a reasonable meal of sorts.
Definitely if you have a couple of hours to kill it's ok value for money even without alcohol and very good value for money if you include a couple of alcoholic drinks.
It's a lot more comfortable and restful than the main airport lounge too.0 -
Up now to £25 per person!
Going to Krakow in a couple of weeks so going to pay the £3 each for Security Fast track. With the 30 mins or so later we'll be able to leave, we'll have breakfast at home then just turn up closer to boarding time.
Generous enough hand luggage allowance so no need to allow time to check in bags.0
