Lambeth CC PCN - Permit fell off screen in heat

Unfortunately I got a PCN on 23rd May as my permit had fallen off the windscreen at some point between 22nd morning and 23rd. I have all the documents to prove that I had paid the (extortionate) amount for the permit, and a picture to show the ticket had fallen upside down onto the passenger seat.

The permit itself has a small surface of sticky plastic around the outside to stick it to the window, probably only just sufficient to keep it in place, according to a local met weather station he temperatures in the area peaked at 25 degrees on the 22nd when I believe the ticket fell.

I intend to send a letter similar to a template on another site (I can't link) but updated to reflect the changes in the Statutory guidance for Civil enforcement of parking contraventions.

Has anyone had any luck with this approach before? Any help/advice would be immensely helpful.

(I've since reattached the permit with extra sellotape..)

Have a read through some of the other threads there before you post your own to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need to post redacted photos/scans of all correspondence you've received from the council (both sides, if appropriate) as they need to see all the small print.

PePiPoo has an excellent success record in dealing with council tickets.
