How to install a vent to a double glazed unit/pane

Hello everyone
So the story is I have a Pomeranian dog & he has a collapsed wind pipe which in cool weather he breathes OK but once the outside temperature rises above 20c then he struggles a bit to breathe properly.
To cool down the apartment for him I want to buy a portable air conditioner & vent the hot air out through a vent that would be fixed into the double glazed window pane(I'm not a fan of sticking the hose out of the open window & fitting one of those nets that are available) in the bedroom, is this something that can be done? I've read that the hoses are about 150mm in diameter & I can see certain types of vents available to buy. Ideally I'd like to hire a window guy/gal to do the work & if needs be they can install a new pane.
I would really appreciate any help with this.
Thank you
Joey

I don't think you can
We tried numerous manufacturers of double glazing units to get a new glazed unit incorporating a cat flap with no success
We were offered a upc panel to replace the glass which could have a cat flap installed, three times the amount of the glass
We ended up cutting a space through the wall and installing a tunnel and two flaps0 -
You can get DGU's made with any shape or size hole you like, including one's for cat flaps.0

I don't know who you spoke to. But my son had absolutely no problem getting a cat flap fitted into his patio doors0

Fitted a catflap to a side panel beside my back door a few years back. Simply replaced the sealed unit with an insulated panel and cut a hole in that for the catflap. Stored the sealed unit in a safe place for the day when the catflap is no longer required - Total cost was around £10.
A similar solution may work for the OP if there is a suitable small window that could be used. Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -

I went to every supplier here, the answer was a resounding no
Seriously I wouldn't post otherwise. Our doors are less then four years old as well
I had read on so many forums it could be done. Unfortunately there's not a company withing 100 mile of me who said they would0 -
Have a drive round and see how many houses have an extractor fan fitted in the kitchen window. A random Google search came up with this company who will fit double glazed units with pretty much any type of hole in http://www.askglass.co.uk/extractor_fan_in_glass.html0

Thanks everyone for their replies & input.
I called a local double glazier & they said they can produce a double glazed pane of glass to my size requirements & create a hole of 184mm which is sealed. I just need to locate the correct outlet grille that fixes to the hole in the double glazed pane & that it also accepts the exhaust pipe from the air conditioner.
Good news & cost is £150.00.
(If anyone has any security alarm or CCTV questions or issues then please feel free to ask me).
