Vanquis card credit increase

I have received a letter stating I would be eligible for a credit increase, however, the letter says I need to stay within the credit limit before the increase. My direct debit was declined, but I have made the payment and am now within my credit limit with my increase due to kick in this Thursday. Has anyone else had this situation, and did you receive your increase?
