Have i had a contract?

Had sky tv installed on Saturday had the uhd package thinking this would give me sports in Hd as the norm but it doesent and was asked for an extra £6 so have cancelled under my cooling off period.My question is have i entered into a contract and can i be classed as having sky tv in the last 12 months and should i be able to reorder after a few weeks or so?

Yes - you have had a contract, and you be flagged as terminating within the cooling off period. They have no difficulty in selling HD Sports, and as you incorrectly assumed, the error is yours. If they have done any work (dish, card etc) then you may find they block you as a possible returning customer0

I didn't think you could cancel, without breaching the minimum term, once you had actually used the service.0 -
Thanks yes i know it was my mistake and when i cancelled i mentioned to the chap that i hadnt had it for 14 days and was told not to worry as with sky you have 31 days to cancel

Yes you can cancel under cooling off, but you will still be charged pro rata for the period of service, and are liable for the removal and return of the equipment at your expense.
The T&C's state 14 days, not 31.No free lunch, and no free laptop
