Tax refund for Reward Payments

I submitted a R40 back in April for reclaiming my tax paid on my Halifax reward and Co-op Everyday reward for 16/17. I contacted them as I hadn't received anything and was told that my R40 had just been filed "no change" as I had not paid any tax for 16/17. I put the payments under other income and clearly stated Halifax and Co-op reward payments.
Today I had a live chat and even though I gave them the breakdown of each account i.e. 9 x £6.25, 3 x £3.75 and 12 x £5 they have asked me to send proof of the schemes in the post. I have claimed for the last 2 years without any problems.
Has anyone else had a problem this year claiming?

I havent tried yet this tax year as I tend to include the annual statement which hasn't arrived yet for my Halifax accounts.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. I did mine online. Unfortunately I stated grosss instead of net! I received a letter asking me to clarify. I called and the agent processed payment.0

I did mine online and the annoying thing is they said that a letter had been sent in April on the online letter tracker and it was never received by me and when I questioned what it said they just told me that R40 received!!!
I only submitted 15/16 in February 2017 for the Halifax Reward and they paid me the tax refund without question, so why now do I have to provide proof unless it's because they had already received the tax info from the bank.0 -
Could be because so early in the tax year HMRC do not have the information from the bank0

Sent a letter seven weeks ago regarding the Halifax Rewards and the HMRC credited my Halifax Reward account three weeks ago with the missing tax.
This took around 4 days to clear.0 -
Did you put it in other income or under interest?0

Crux of letter:
I now realise that I overpaid £14* of tax for the Tax Year 2016/17 from the Halifax Reward Current account I hold – sort code xx-xx-xx account number xxxxxxxx. I understand that the ‘reward’ paid each month is net of tax and therefore can be counted as other taxable income.
This reward was reduced from £5 net on the 1st Feb 2017 to £3 net.
* is calculated from the reward payments – May ’16 – Feb ’17 @£1.25 & Mar ’17 – April @ £0.75 = £14
Good luck0
