Important Company Dates

Options
Hi,

Is it possible to get a listing of important company dates for filing returns and all payments (inc. VAT) for the year ahead on the HMRC website?

I've almost got caught out by something I agreed was to be handled by the accountant but was done submitted on time.

As director I'm still responsible but I'd no visibility of it happening (or not in this case).

Thanks.

The dates are the same year on year. They don't change from one year to the next.

VAT is the same day every 3 months.

Paying CT is the same day every year.

Paying PAYE is the same day every quarter.

Filing CT return is the same day every year.

Filing accounts to co house is the same day each year.

Filing and paying personal SA is the same day each year.

Just set alarms/alerts on your smartphone - one for a few days/weeks ahead of each deadline depending on how much time you need to prepare. Another for say, a week before the deadline to give you a final kick to submit/pay it.

Thanks - I guess I just need to get one year through the system to get it all remembered.
I'm late with Company Tax Return - so I guess that will be a £100 hit I'll have to take. :(

Does tardiness with these increase the likelihood of a tax inspection?

why do you have to get through a year?

the deadlines are a matter of public record and are based on whatever your:
    1. VAT quarters are (the final deadline for submission and payment is always the 7th)
    2. accounting year end is
    3. companies house data say

1 and 2 should be well known to you without having to look them up

3 confirmation statement ("annual return" as was) can be checked any time you can be bothered to search your own company on Companies house and look at the page called "filing history". If you notify Co Hse of your contact details they will send you an email reminder anyway

Decent software like freeagent will give you a "timeline" of due dates, amounts etc, for vat, ct, paye, annual return, SA payments, etc.
