Got my date in court...

Hi, I've a court date due - I have followed the advice on the sticky and entered a response on the Money Claim Online site.

Read through the case defences and I am just wondering now if I even have a case, most relevant seemed to be the one posted by IamEmanresu Gladstones, however, mine doesn't really involve signage so probably not the most relevant - I think I was relying too much on the good will of SIPS.

If I post the things that I think might be relevant and then I'd be grateful if anyone could point me in the direction of any sources to follow up with because I am at a loss at the minute with this:

- Parked in a permit only without realising, had parked there 10 times previously with no charge
- Paid for parking ticket (thinking it was still a normal car park) was given a PCN. Should there even be pay machines still?
- There IS a sign saying 'permit only' but it had changed at some point in the summer I had parked there.
- Appealed on the grounds that the warden hadn't seen my ticket, was immediately rejected and charge increased, this got my back up and made me want to pay charge even less.
- Wanted to argue that there was no gain in me parking there as £2 car park literally next door, but don't suppose that holds any water.
- Feel as though I've just made a genuine mistake which is making this defence x10 difficult

As you can see, I am struggling here and wondering whether or not I actually just go to court and take my beating?

If you have a court date, you've already put in a defence. What was it?

Also with the court date comes the instruction on when to send a Witness Statement. It is usually 14 days before the hearing but check it.

Lastly have you read all your other threads on this. Johnersh gave you a really good line here

neither this forum nor the millions of people who can access it need to know who did what !! - just say THE DRIVER and THE KEEPER and leave it that way, so nobody can use this forums posts against anyone in court

If you read the item mentioned you will see a key part of the defence is to mention who was driving. So although it may be applicable to the forum, it would be a wasted opportunity to apply it to the Witness Statement defence.

Please pm one of the board guides - crabman or soolin and ask them to merge the three threads you have on this case.

You're unlikely to get the advice you need if you're​ asking the regulars to flick between your threads to understand the background to your case - they won't do it.
